Finally I have had some time to start blogging again,
The truth is that our summer has been so busy and fun
that I have not had time to journal about it...
Our summer started out with me in school for May and June,
July and August consisted of gorgeous weather, parks, swimming,
picnics, storybook gardens, stroller walks, Cottage, Honey Bee Farm,
beach, playgroups, hanging out with Joe, Markus and Jessica while they visited,
My parents and brothers move, Canada's Wonderland,
Playing in the backyard, Gardening, organizing and decluttering.
I have a lot to blog about over the next little while...
A quick update on the boys...
Todd is growing up quick...
He started crawling at 5 months,
Mastered crawling and sitting by 7 months and
now at 8 months is standing up no problem...
It will not surprise me if he starts walking by 9 months...
It is crazy how quickly he is learning and developing.
He loves breast milk and is not at all
interested in eating baby food yet.
He has just started sleeping in his crib
and the transition has been very easy!
Ethan's communication skills have blown me away!
He is using 4 word sentences and
I am in awe at how smart and witty he is!
It is so neat to be able to communicate verbally with my little man...
He is able to tell me what is bothering him,
What his needs and wants are...
He can basically repeat any word I say to him
(If he feels like it that is)...
His sweet little toddler voice and
the cute twist he has on some words just melts my heart!
He knows his colors pretty good,
He understands one and two...
But instead of three he will say six...
1, 2, 6...It's pretty cute.
He loves boy things like trucks (especially back hoes),
trains, airplanes and dinosaurs.
He make us laugh so hard sometimes...
He started sleeping in his big boy car bed August 4th with no problem.
The whole discipline thing is quite interesting...
It is sometime so hard to keep a straight, stern face or
give him time outs when he is misbehaving
because at the same time he is so darn cute!
The hardest part I find is not laughing and following through!
He is such an active and funny child
and he defiantly keeps me on my toes.
So I have a TON of pictures from this summer
that I will eventually blog about...
I have had the best summer ever...
It feels like I am a kid again being able to
be outside doing kid stuff everyday!
I love maternity leave...
I have absolutely enjoyed every minute of this summer!
Below are a bunch of pictures from our day at Canada's Wonderland!
Poor Nathan had to work...We missed him with us this day!
