Bath Time Together

Lately Ethan has been less then pleased
with the idea of taking a bath...
I am not sure why.?.
It may be because he pooped in the tub a little while ago
And was frightened by the big brown monster...or
It could be that he is not happy about getting water
in his eyes when I rinse his hair...
I am puzzled to say the least because
Bath time use to be the bomb!

So when I put Todd in the bath with him
it made him very happy and he seemed to ease up a bit.
I think this was only the second time they had a bath together...
Mostly because I find it awkward bathing Todd like this.
Usually I just bring him in the tub with me.

Anyhow it had been a while since I did bath time pictures,
Need to get a bunch for blackmail later on right (hehe)
Here are my bathing beauties!!

Post bath and ready for a book!

What a sweet little baby!
Love you so much Todd

Trains and Planes

Or "Choo Choo" and "airpane" as Ethan likes to say!
Something our family likes to do when we have "free time"
is go to the airport to watch the planes come and go...
We park on an old dirt road behind the runway to get a good view...
A bonus is that there is a train track close by so if we are lucky
we usually get to see a few "Choo Choo's" race by.
This is a favorite for Ethan!

Ding, Ding, Ding...And the lights at the cross way start to flash!
Ethan and Nate hurry closer to the track to wave at the conductor
Hoping for a pull of the horn...
Ethan tucks in close under Daddy's arm...
He is still a little nervous because of the loud noises!
After the train passes Ethan keeps saying
"where's the choo, choo...or where's "Thomas"...
as he puts his arms out, with palms up...
Followed by "again"
Gota love that kid!

As a child Nathan used to go to the airport with his Grandfather
and shares with me many fond memories of these outings...
He especially use to enjoy the London Air Shows...
Nate tells stories of his grandfather
picking him up for the day with chips and pop in hand
(gota love it when you get chips and pop as a kid)
and heading down to the airport with the scanner...
(A scanner allows you to hear the conversations
between the control tower and the pilots)

Ever since meeting Nathan this has been a
place he has periodically taken me to...
In the beginning it was kinda a romantic place...
A good spot to talk and share a couple of kisses
Moon lit evening sky, runway lights, stars, and wide open spaces...
Now that we have children
it continues to be a good spot to visit and allows us to get
away from our busy lives and have some family time while
building fun memories for our boys!

1st Annual Neighbourhood Easter Egg Hunt

Shayna, Nate and I decided it would be fun to organize a
neighbourhood Easter Egg Hunt on our court...
Since we have a bunch of little children on our street
we thought it would be super cute!
(And it was!)

On Good Friday we started the hunt at 6:30pm...
The toddlers looked for eggs on the grassy court...while
the bigger kids searched for eggs around the front of the houses...
There was a ton of eggs to find but of course
it didn't take the kids too long to fill there baskets!
It was a lot of fun...
Ethan caught on to this Easter egg hunt a lot quicker
as he had some practice a couple days prior.

After the egg hunt we gathered the kids for a picture
and enjoyed some cup cakes and cake pops!
We will defiantly make this a neighbourhood tradition!!!

My kitchen table all decked out for Easter!

Ya were pretty cool!! (haha)
I got creative and made some bunny suckers to hide!
(I got this idea off of Pintrest)
Bunny Bait included pretzels, marshmallows, chocolate chips,
lucky charms, raisins, mini eggs and yogurt covered pretzels
(Another idea on Pintrest)
Just before the hunt...
Ethan is sucking on a candy soother that looks like bunny teeth on the front!

And the hunt begins....
