An Update on Toddy

Baby Toddy is now 9 moNtHs...

Over the past couple months we have seen quite a
few changes that tell us that our baby Todd is growing up (sniff, sniff)

Our little man is walking...He is up to at least 10 steps without falling now..
He babbles, plays chase with Ethan, feeds himself,
loves playing in the hot tub and having baths,
He loves the Jolly Jumper, playing with the dogs, and
destroying Ethan's train tracks (that goes over so well).

He loves to be cuddled, He loves the outdoors,
he loves playing with his older brother.
My favorite is when they play chase around the house...
Todd loves music and laughing and
loves to smile when Mommy or Daddy acts goofy.

Toddy loves when mommy feeds him milk,
He loves to be wrapped in comfy blankets,
and he loves his green Soothie SueSue!

He still doesn't care for his car seat, or crib for that matter...
He comes alive at 10pm...And off and on through the night!
(That goes over quite well too..haha)

We love this baby so much...
He sure keeps us on our toes!
His sweet little personality is so amazing...
Toddy you are so special,
We are so blessed to call you our son!
You brighten our days (and nights?)

We love you!

Decorating for Halloween

On October 1st...
Ethan, Todd and I went to the dollar store to
get some spooky decorations for the front of our house!

Halloween is a favorite for me...
When I was little I loved dressing up
and of course trick or treating...
My most fond memory was sorting through my
bag of candy with my brother and sister
at the end of the night on our living room floor...
We would compare, trade and sort.
I would divide my candy into piles...
chip bags, suckers, rockets, chocolate bars...
I even remember having a "yucky candy" pile
that mostly consisting of those
orange and black wrapper candies...Remember those?

This year I have a really good idea for Ethan's costume...
If I can find a child's white lab coat...
Then think "Back to the Future" and just look at his hair...
Can you guess??

Ethan picked 2 scary rats at the dollar store...
He loves his rats and plays with them everyday!
We still need to get some pumpkins to finish our front off
and maybe a few stocks of corn.

When I was little I use to always make a scarecrow
to sit on our front porch...Sometimes I would make
our front yard into a cemetery...
Yup I went all out (haha)!
That with spooky music on Oct 31st...
I thought it was pretty cool!
FUN TIMES lol

Sunday dinners at the new house

On July 14th my parents moved to a new house in Byron.
The new house is awesome...Such a beautiful home and neighbourhood
I can tell they are just really happy with this change.
They really deserve this (and so much more)...
I could not be more happy for them.
My mom finally has the kitchen and house of her dreams!

My parents love to host family gatherings and parties
and with their new place it will be so much easier...
My moms old kitchen was not so easy to maneuver around in...
The new kitchen is just perfect!

The move was a big job...My parents have lots of "stuff"...
Since the move my parents have been getting rid of a lot of things...
Between filling a dumpster, garage sale and kijiji
they are really downsizing there "stuff"
This is a good thing as a cluttered house
can really take away from the beauty...
If you know what I mean!

Most Sundays we go to my parents for dinner...
We really enjoy this family tradition...
My mom and dad just love to have everybody over
and we are so spoiled with an amazing dinner...
And the leftovers and food they send us home with is awesome...
My favorite is the big huge bowl of fresh fruit that we have for dessert...
This is Ethan's favorite too!
"Mom Burries"
(Translation: Mom can I have the berries now)

I took a few pictures this past Snday since I had my camera...
(I was taking a few pictures of things to put on kijiji for my mom)
Tried to get a few family group shots...
They turned out hilarious!

Lets look at the details of this picture:
Mom: Crazy eyes
Nathan: Catching flies in his mouth
Todd: Not looking at the camera
Shayna and Dad: Just look funny

Well at least Shayna and Ethan have the same smile

It is very difficult still to get Ethan to pose for a picture...
I usually have to catch him off guard or trick him

 Goofing around with Shayna
I love how Shayna looks so calm while I look constipated...lol

 MY MOM'S OLD KITCHEN

A view of the new kitchen

A Family Photo...We got Ethan to look by having him look for a spider on the wall...See I have to trick him!

A Favorite Spot

We have spent a ton of time this summer at
the Springbank Park waiting pool and play equipment!
Ethan loves it here...And so do I...
Waiting pools are the best for really young children...
They are the perfect depth and very easy to manage with a baby in arm...
Heck Toddy even loves to crawl around the edge of the pool!
Such a relaxing environment...With lifeguards on duty
(they even check the health of the pool every hour)
A place where Ethan is really confident and I feel stressfree!

Both my boys absolutely love the water...
Ethan loves to run into the centre of the pool
and submerges his body with a little jump...
Then he crawls around the pool with his
little head sticking out of the water...
"Mommy swimming" he excitedly exclaims!

Ethan will run back and forth from the
swings, play equipment and pool all day.
We often enjoy picnics in the park!

I love meeting up with my friends and their children...
Ethan especially enjoys his friend Noah...
They are best buds...
It was so cute the other day...
As we were leaving the park Ethan and Noah
hugged goodbye and the stayed embraced for a good minute...
It was so cute I wish I had my camera out!
It is so heart warming to see Ethan making friends!
We are truly blessed with beautiful children and friendships!

The pictures below are from last Wednesday...
I took Ethan one last time on Friday
as the waiting pool is closed now for the summer!
Boo Hoo...We will truly miss this place and
look forward to more memories at the waiting pool next summer!

Toddy loves the swing just like his big brother...I didn't get a picture of Ethan but he spends a lot of time in the swing!
"Mommy higher"..."Mommy under doggy"..."Mommy push"   exclaims Ethan!

Emma and Toddy with Ethan and Noah in the back!

Ethan and Noah
Both Ola and I brought trucks for the boys to play with on this visit...
In the past when we have not brought toys they tend to help themselves to other kids toys!
Ya that goes over real well!

I have spent quite a bit of time with Ola over the summer...Such a beautiful person in and out!
